Join the fun at the fourth annual festival celebrating the life of Louis Armstrong and his ties to Queens as a resident for more than 25 years. Louis Armstrong’s Wonderful World is a day of music, food, and fun.

Renowned bandleader Jon Batiste has curated this year’s line-up which boasts an eclectic mix of influential musicians including: Vince Giordano and The Nighthawks, and members of The Dap-Kings and Batiste’s band, Stay Human. This day-long event will conclude with Batiste’s signature ‘love riot’ street parade. The festival will channel the rich jazz influences of Armstrong through a variety of musical genres, and during their set, the members of the Dap-Kings will collaborate with several freestyle rappers including Don Flamingo, Avenue and Kris Kasanova staying true to Armstrong’s mantra that “you gotta listen to all types of music.”

The festival’s Backyard Bash features family friendly activities throughout the park and DJ sets in the Queens Theatre, recreating the memorable garden parties that Louis hosted for his friends and neighbors at his home in Corona where he lived for almost 30 years. family area will provide a space to relax together and take part in some wonderful activities for children of all ages to enjoy. The activities will take place from 1:00PM – 5:00PM.
