Join Prospect Park Alliance and NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital at Lefferts Historic House for a day of fun games and activities celebrating the local, seasonal harvest.

Did you know that the Lefferts Homestead was a working farm? This spring, with help from local families, Prospect Park Alliance planted a crop of local vegetables in the Lefferts garden. Throughout the year, families helped water and care for these crops, and now is the chance to help us harvest this bounty.

Celebrate the harvest with an afternoon of fun:

  • Play croquet, corn hole and other lawn games on the Lefferts lawn
  • Help harvest the fall crop, then taste this bounty prepared in a vegetable stew cooked over the Lefferts outdoor hearth by a costumed interpreter
  • Join NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital to help prep and taste local seasonal vegetables, and bring home a recipe to cook with your family;
  • At 2 pm, enjoy harvest tales with veteran storyteller Tammy Hall.

At 11 am, Prospect Park Alliance presents a related event for children with ASD. Space is limited and RSVP is required. Learn more here.
