Parents and children 12 and older are invited to join South Fork Natural History Museum executive director Frank Quevedo on a shorebird migration walk beginning at Ponquogue Bridge in Hampton Bays. Tidal flats and wetlands are excellent staging areas for migrating birds. In addition to seeing these shorebirds, walkers will be on the lookout for sparrows, rails, grackles and other regional species. Bring binoculars, a scope and if you have one a field guide to Birds of Eastern North America. Reservations required; call the museum at 631-537-9735.
