Every Tuesday in August, CMEE is hosting an evening of family entertainment by noted names in children’s entertainment from across the country and the East End. Pack a picnic, round up your friends and family, sit back and enjoy.

August 5th – Peter and The Wolf

Young company members from “Miss Sara’s” Hampton Ballet Theater will perform Prokofiev’s timelessly appealing and magical ballet. The performance will be accompanied by the 25-piece Hampton Chamber Orchestra…an extra delight! A very special annual family event for all ages! August 12th – Tim and the Space Cadets

Brooklyn-based Tim and the Space Cadets play songs about the important things in life: pizza parties, snow days, and summer vacations. Songwriters Tim Kubart and Matt Puckett weave their own childhood memories through textured pop tunes, rockers, and lullabies. (Official Site). August 19th – Suzi Shelton

Suzi Shelton is an award winning singer/songwriter for kids and has been performing upbeat, interactive pop-folk-rock music for families for over 10 years. And you know what? She loves every minute! Suzi and her band have performed in such prestigious venues as The White House, Symphony Space and the Tribeca Film Festival. (Official Site). Prize drawing: Family 4-pack admission to the Long Island Aquarium and Fall Season Soccer Classes from Pro Soccer Kids.

August 26th – Karen K and the Jitterbugs

Karen K & her Jitterbugs are rising stars in the “kindie” music scene thanks to the band’s eclectic sound and Karen K’s quirky, well-crafted and totally catchy tunes. Karen K’s powerhouse vocals, infectious energy and ability to connect with audience members young and old make the band fast favorites among tots, parents and even grandparents. (Official Site).
