PlayTogether NYC was our first preschool (and separation from mommy) experience, and it has been fabulous. Our son had never been to a drop-off program until we started at PlayTogether - Nyla worked particularly hard with us to make sure the transition went well (for both our 2 year old son and 33 year old mom :)). Now he loves going to school! All of the teachers have been wonderful - they are very loving with the children and they make sure to foster a supportive and friendly environment among the kids. Our son is one of the younger ones, but he is learning a great deal from being with the older kids at different times during the day and he has become much more confident as a result. He does a variety of different art projects and even science projects throughout the week, so he has also been learning a great deal (in addition to circle time and reading stories). I looked at other schools and witnessed so many preschools in the parks during the last two years, and I am very happy with our decision.
I would give 5 stars but the mommy poppins website isn't allowing me to do it.

My son just turned 2 and PlayTogether NYC is the first school he is attending. He has always been with me, my husband or my nanny. The admissions process was smooth and Nyla answered all my questions promptly. I registered my son months ago and was anxious as school day approached. I reached out to Nyla the day before and she eased all my fears by letting me know I could stay as long as I wanted until I felt comfortable leaving him by himself. I knew this school was perfect for him the very first day when he dove into the big box of cars Nyla and the other teachers had laid out. He barely clung to me and was immediately comfortable with all the teachers. The 2nd day, I was again a little nervous since this would be the first time I wouldn't be around for the entire time. However, when I returned 2 hours later, I was told he had not cried at all and had participated in all the activities. He gave me the sweetest smile when he walked in with the other kids after having played in the park. It was truly overwhelming to see him so happy. My day couldn't have gone better! I can see all the activities and the low-pressure yet stimulating environment are exactly what he needs. Thank you, PlayTogether NYC!
