92nd Street Y - Family Fun

There's always something fun to do inside 92Y. The Parenting Center features weekly, affordable drop-in sessions as well as frequent single sessions of Shababa Kids in the Kitchen and Art Smarts classes for ages 3-5.

Bring your pipes for Sing!, a fun, friendly sing-along of old-time favorites, folk songs, and childhood classics. Learn new songs to sing together at home and remember the ones you love.

Books come alive at Not Your Typical Story Hour, a magical hour for preschoolers led by educator Petra Shapiro. Ms. Shapiro, dressed up as a princess, leads children in songs, movement, and crafts that enhance the week's chosen story.

92Y's supervised GymMaze playtime, an exciting place to bounce, jump, run, and tumble, is always popular, and reservations are highly recommended. Sessions are offered for ages 12-24 months and 2-5 years.

ACD Play Space

ACD Play Space offers a wide variety of children's classes, birthday parties to help celebrate your child's special day, and Open Play hours where children can come in and explore new things. ACD's goal is to provide a safe and educational space for children to learn and grow through music, dance, and play most of all.

ACD, a family-owned business, opened in November 2017 after the owner—who has provided in-home child care in Astoria for over 10 years—noticed a lack of activities, classes, and play spaces for parents and children to enjoy on a daily basis.

ACD is proud to support moms and dads who are entrepreneurs in the children's  arts and activities fields. Since opening, ACD has joined up with many businesses based in Astoria and New York such as Allergic to Salad, Tiny Tunes, and the ballet and ballroom instructor from Petite Ballroom. ACD also works with programs such as Kids Music Together, The Pineapple Explorers Club, and Soccer Friends USA.

ACME Screening Room

ACME Screening Room is an independent movie theater with monthly kids' matinees often featuring "meet the directors/producers" sessions and local food discounts.

The ACME Screening Room is a non-profit founded by Friends of Lambertville Library in 2008 in partnership with the Lambertville Free Public Library and the City of Lambertville. They offer a weekly independent and documentary film series in the city's "Justice Center," formerly the ACME Supermarket. The series regularly features guest speakers (authors, directors, activists), post-film discussion programs, and/or exhibitions held in conjunction with a film. The programs bring the world of film to life for audience members and create a space to thoughtfully reflect on films by artists at all levels—from local filmmakers to nationally recognized professionals.
