Downtown Day Camp

Since 1992, Downtown Day Camp has offered “The Complete Camp Experience: Aquatics – Athletics – Arts & Sciences.” The camp's private community center and facilities in Tribeca include a heated 75-foot pool, outdoor ball fields, four arts and dance studios, gymnasiums, music rooms, science rooms, and more.

The leadership team has over 100 years combined experience and offers a wide variety of activities including swimming lessons, organized field sport instruction, ooey gooey science, Pier 25 beach volleyball and mini-golf, P. E. classes, karate, tennis, Lego construction, visual arts, craft-making, dance, drumming, camper song shows and performances, field trips, camp carnival, exotic animal and magic shows, camp night out for families, and more.

Fastbreak Sports - Camps

Fastbreak Sports offers flexible multi-sport and sport-specific camps for children ages 3 and up. Join for summer, the next school holiday, or put together your own private camp for your next day off! Fastbreak’s coaches stress the importance of hard work, team camaraderie, gracious winning and losing, celebrating successes, and learning from mistakes. They recognize that sports training builds character, not just athletes. Offerings include:

  • Half-Day Multi-Sport Camp (ages 3-6): sports, games, arts & crafts, and bounce house
  • Full-Day Multi-Sport Camp (ages 5-11): basketball, flag football, dodge ball, soccer, hockey, and more
  • Fundamentals Basketball Camp (ages 7-15): skills, drills, and game play
  • City Skills Basketball Academy (middle/high school): next-level training.

Galli Theater New York

Galli Theater offers acting camps in English, German, and French for a vacation full of fairy tale fun during all public school breaks!

Has your child ever wanted to play a prince, princess, king, or queen? Does he or she love the seven dwarfs and magical fairies? Galli Theather's camp is where little actors can try out different roles from different fairy tales.

Campers will do warm-up games, movement activities, and theater games to prepare them for the stage. Each week, a fairy tale is chosen that they will rehearse and act out as a group. Each child picks his own role and costumes to complete the transformation. At the end of the week, campers premier their production for friends and family.

Green Apron Kitchen - Camps

When school is out, the kitchen is open! Green Apron Kitchen has fun programs for your budding chefs. Kids will enjoy cooking delicious meals completely from scratch, playing games, and making new friends. 

Each camp adventure has a fun theme. From "Baking Bootcamp" to "Parisian Cafe" to "Celebrity Chef Showdown," kids will enjoy interactive learning experiences while making tasty food from scratch alongside their new friends.

Kids at Art - Camps

Summer and Holiday Mini-Camp Workshops: Kids at Art's Summer Workshop Program runs from June 12th-August 25th. For ages 4.5+, they offer popular half-day workshops, focusing on the basics of art and also more involved projects, including mask-making, puppet-making, plaster, and papier mache. They also offer a full-day option. Children may attend daily either by the half or full day, or on a weekly basis. For holidays and school breaks, they also offer the same half-day workshops. For the 2-4-year-old set this summer, Kids at Art offers a 4- week class (one class per week). 

Art & Karaoke Parties: Kids at Art's Art & Karaoke parties are the perfect combination of activities to entertain kids for an hour and a half, in their fully equipped, brand new art studio. They use professional DJs exclusively from Expressway Music and offer fabulous art projects for children to work on during the singing.

King's College London Pre-University Summer School

The King's College Pre-University Summer School in the USA gives rising juniors and seniors a unique taste of the British college experience while attending classes in the New York metro area. Students choose between two undergraduate classes taught by faculty who are leaders in their fields. They are introduced to the British way of teaching and learning and attend a special session on the British college application process. It is a commuter program and will run from August 7-18 at Brooklyn Friends School.

Entry criteria​: Applicants will need to provide a high school transcript, a personal statement, and a reference letter from their current school.

Fees​: $2,000, which includes tuition, relevant class excursions, and a certificate of attendance.
