Kids Fish - A Camp at Meadow Island

0

At Kids Fish, your children will fish of course, but they will do so much more. They will explore the waterways between the Atlantic Beach Bridge and the Wantagh Bridge. They'll explore the salt marsh and sand bars, catch bait, handle a fishing rod, and learn boat and water safety. They will become familiar with the ecosystem, the animal and plant life that exists in it, and the importance of the salt marsh to our oceans.

Campers will learn of the rich history of the people who lived and worked on the marsh, and of those who inhabited the bay houses of the marsh. They will also have their lunch at a bay house, one of under 30 that still exist today.
