The Fig Cooking School


The Fig Cooking School offers weeklong cooking workshops for kids during school breaks in the spring and summer. These 5-day series will take place at The Fig's brand new, state-of-the-art teaching kitchen in Walnut Beach, Milford. Taught using a 100% hands-on method and designed for all experience levels, classes give kids the opportunity to explore new techniques and flavors and build their culinary confidence.

Each day, kids will prepare and enjoy an exciting menu from scratch. Interactive teaching will strengthen kids' culinary foundations as they taste and learn about flavor profiles and build strong technique. Games and cultural activities will be integrated throughout the day to round out a culinary journey full of laughter, learning, and good eats!

Butter Beans Cooking and Gardening Adventures


Discover the fun and flavor of farm-to-table cooking while forging fun new memories in the kitchen and garden! Designed to engage food explorers and eaters of all palates, Butter Beans camps and cooking classes will provide budding chefs, foodies, and farmers the opportunity to experience the full breadth of meal preparation from seed to table.  

From exploring NYC's food landscape to foraging in central park, from julienning carrots to rolling handmade pasta dough, junior chefs and campers gain knowledge and appreciation for the healthy food that fuels them. 

Kids cooking classes are open to children ages 6-10 on Saturday mornings in May and June with drop-off available. Adult classes are available on Thursday evenings. Put on your chef's hat and register today!

Let's Cook, Long Island - Classes


Let's Cook, Long Island teaches children ages 2 and up about nutrition and healthy cooking through fun classes, camps, and birthday parties.

Each cooking class will start with a 30-minute educational activity or game followed by the class cooking 2-4 healthy recipes. Children are shwon how to make the recipe, and then they make it themselves! This is a fun, interactive hands-on cooking class. Classes will be 1 or 2 hours in length, depending on the age group being taught.

The signature 8-hour cooking program (4 classes, 2 hours long) will lay a solid foundation of cooking skills to last a lifetime. Your child will learn how to make healthy snacks, breakfasts, lunches, and dinners for him/herself. This is a great core cooking program for any child who is looking to help with a family meal or just learn some important kitchen skills and build confidence in the kitchen.

Inspired by Zoe's mission and priority is to inspire children to express themselves through D.I.Y. arts and crafts. Arts and crafts have a great significance in children's academic performance, social development, and cultural and leadership skills. Insipired by Zoe's art classes are set up to influence all of these skills and impact children of all ages. They also offer Open Craft and Play; they provide crafters with a craft menu that includes many options, from tie-dye to clay molding to customized candles. During class, crafters enjoy building 3-D objects, stitching, sculpting, painting, and so much more. The studio leaves a great impact on crafters, some of whom struggle to express themselves in and outside of the classroom. Inspired by Zoe has received a signifacant amount of feedback on the improvement of crafters from their families. Inspired By Zoe's purpose is to inspire all.
