You know you're deep into winter when festivities celebrating moose and skiing Yetis highlight the weekend's events! How about an ice fishing class in Litchfield? Nature lovers with a sweet tooth will enjoy kicking off the maple sugaring season at this Adopt-a Tree event in New Canaan.

Of course, there's plenty to do if you want to stay cozy inside. Try the Yale Art Gallery's Family Activity Day in New Haven, the annual Northeast Camping Show in Hartford, or get a Taste of Fairfield at Winterfest.
