10 Holiday Events for Preschoolers in CT This Week

10 Things to Do with Preschoolers in Connecticut This Week

I had a pang this weekend when I was at the mall with my kids, noticed a momentary lull in the Santa line, and suggested that maybe we could take a photo with the man in red. They had the temerity to roll their tweenage eyes at me, and--just for a moment--I found myself longing for days of yore, when just catching a glimpse of the mall Santa was enough to make their whole weekend. And, because I was witness to their joy, mine. But then I remembered the challenge of parenting preschool-aged cherubs this time of year, when school vacations are long, activities requiring parental involvement are many, and the list of things to do seems impossibly long. So this weekly roundup is for you preschool parents. We've tracked down the best activities for preschoolers (many of which are free) from Elf Workshops to Gingerbread Festivals to a Reindeer Festival. If you have the flexibility in your schedule to visit Santa during the week while the bigger kids are in school, you'll be rewarded with smaller crowds and a less overwhelming experience.

As always, you can find events for kids of all ages in our frequently updated Event Calendar, as well as in our newsletters and on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest. Happy holidays!
