Vacations should be fun, and so should learning. That's why students love spending some of their vacation week with Talcott Mountain Science Center.

Courses will run Monday and Tuesday, February 17 & 18 from 10 am to 4 pm. Class size is limited to 12 participants, so each student benefits from individual attention and hands-on participation.

• Robotics: Mindstorms | K-3
  The most popular, flexible robot building kit ever, LEGO® Mindstorms™ has decades of robot contests under its belt. Build, program and compete on a "Research Roundup" playing field, solving science problems for robotics bragging rights.

• Earth Extremes | 4-8
  From tornadoes to volcanoes, from floods to tsunamis, experience the science behind extreme earth science events.
• Science & Art
  Students will use scientific specimens and methods to create original artwork; do still life drawings of bones and skulls, use microscopes to inspire abstract art, sketch live animals, paint with leaf pigments, and even perform some chemistry experiments. Be prepared for messy fun.
