Mytic Aquarium is celebrating World Ocean Weekend. It is a day dedicated to informing the public about the impact of human actions on the ocean and encouraging sustainable management of our blue planet. All weekend, guests will be encouraged to share what they love about Long Island Sound.

Hands-on learning experiences will  be lead by the Aquarium’s Education Department. 

Including:

Saturday, June 8: ·

• 9 - 10 a.m. Exclusive members-only hour for members and four additional guests above their membership level. ·
• 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Upcycled Tees with the Center for Contemporary Printmaking. To participate in this activity, guests should bring an old shirt or cloth item to the Aquarium to upgrade with a new screen-printed design. ·
• 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. Free face painting for all guests.

Sunday, June 9:

• 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Free sand art activity for all guests while supplies last. ·
• 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. Free face painting for all guests.
