The Fifth Annual Unite to Fight 5K will help raise critical funding to fulfill our mission of fighting childhood hunger by providing children in need with weekend meals. 

In 2022 Filling in the Blanks was able to serve 4,500 children, distributing 852,000 lbs. of food and increasing to 65% more sites throughout Fairfield and Westchester Counties.  FITB reached a remarkable milestone, delivering our 2 millionth meal in 2022.

As we enter our 10th year at Filling in the Blanks, the need for our weekend meal bag program continues to grow, with the anticipation of 2,000 children being added to our programming by the end of April. Since FITB purchases 99% of our food, events such as The Unite to Fight 5K are crucial for increased needs in local communities.
