Happening monthly at the Connecticut Science Center is Sensory Friendly Day for  kids with special needs. The museum lowers the volume of sounds and dims the lights for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and sensory processing differences to have a fun, enjoyable, and interactive learning experience in a comfortable and accepting environment!

Extra signage is also added to help visitors determine if a particular exhibit or gallery will have any triggers for someone with ASD. Everyone who will benefit from this environment is invited as our special guests for the day.
