The UNIQUE Series is an interactive 30-minute concert experience created for learners with special needs and their families and caregivers. Featuring music by Ludwig van Beethoven, the concert is performed by members of Orchestra Lumos and hosted by Rami Vamos and Liz Ast, faculty at Concordia Conservatory. Rami and Liz will engage audiences with elements of music therapy and family-friendly humor while making classical music accessible to the students in a small concert setting.

Artistic Director, Elizabeth Lim-Dutton, a violinist with Orchestra Lumos, worked closely with Concordia Conservatory’s Executive Director Kathleen Suss and Nicolas Gonzalez, Community Engagement and Education Manager for Orchestra Lumos, to bring this truly “unique” series for our neuro diverse community. Conservatory staff Kathleen Moriarty and Lilly Slaughter and Conservatory student Ashton Turner serve as Series Ambassadors. 

Concordia Conservatory provides music and arts therapy in both class and private sessions. The Conservatory currently provides weekly creative arts therapy classes to the Stamford and Norwalk Public School District in CT and the Eastchester Public School District in NY, serving 450 students ages 4 to 22.
