This to Do & What's Canceled This Weekend in Chicago: Flower Shows, Bugs, Comic Expo, Kids' Concerts
These are uncertain times, but there are still events happening around Chicago to get you and your crew out and about for a few hours. But remember to stay in if you are not feeling well, and if you do venture out, practice smart social distancing and wash your hands.
While some of our favorite maple syrup festivities have been canceled this weekend, there is still fun to have - families can celebrate Mr. Rogers' birthday with a Daniel Tiger Party or by painting kindness rocks, go on a magical Harry Potter-themed scavenger hunt at the Art Institute, and get out and smell the flowers at the Spring Flower Show.
We have other ways to keep you busy this weekend, including hundreds of activities and resources in our Pandemic Guide for Families. Check out our Boredom Busters guide packed with fun and easy things to do at your home, using things you likely already have on-hand. You can even enjoy a virtual storytime with authors Oliver Jeffers or Mac Barnett from the comfort of your couch.
We are doing our best to keep our event calendar up to date with cancellations and postponements, but because the landscape is ever-changing, it's best to check the venue website for the latest updates before venturing out.
