Families can listen to professional storytellers or tell their own stories at Washington Square Park, aka Bughouse Square, across the street from the Newberry Library. The event includes performances from E'mon Lauren, Chicago's first Youth Poet Laureate, musician Sheryl Youngblood, and storytellers Lily Be, Fiona Maxwell, Vince Romero, and more. Food trucks will be around the park serving refreshments, and story lovers can shop for used books at the Newberry Library.
