Things to do with families in Boston this weekend

So much holiday fun to be had, so little time. Wouldn't it be better if December was 6 weeks long (or maybe not)? Holiday favorites kick off this week including Langston Hughes' Black Nativity, WGBH's holiday classical and jazz performances, Blue Man Group's special holiday shows, and my own mother's personal favorite, Handel's Messiah. Head to the Harbor for a kids' concert and holiday fun, learn about (and sample!) all things gingerbread, and visit with Santa while catching a glimpse of this delightful train collection, only on public display twice a year.

Non-holiday events this weekend include a concert with Latin Grammy award winner Mister G, a performance of the Tanglewood Marionette's Cinderella, and a storytime (read by the authors!) and screening of Muppets in Space as part of the Science on Screen Jr series.

Be sure to catch the Mayor's Enchanted Trolley Tour on one of it's many stops around the city happening all weekend long.
