This weekend is for the dogs...not to mention donkeys and other farm animals, too. Along with this menagerie of offerings, don't miss an annual music festival that features 20 acts throughout the day, and this festival that ends with a bang. There's also a special birthday on the South Shore, a puppet pj party with a snail, and one more big festival on Sunday, with African roots

The Complete History of the Seebees (Abridged) - Charlestown

Dog Day at Bird Park - Walpole
The Trustees is partnering with Beantown Disc Dogs for this all-day event, where dogs and their owners can compete in a Disc Dog Competition, see a Disc Dog Demonstration, sign up for a Disc Dog Workshop, participate in a very silly “Best in Show,” and shop for doggie goods from one of the vendors on site for the event.

South Shore YMCA's 125th Birthday Party - Hanover/Quincy
This is a a fun filled day of family-friendly games, moon bounces, obstacle courses, treats, and surprises celebrating the South Shore YMCA's 125th anniversary.

CAM Kids Second Saturdays - Gloucester
The second Saturday of every month is free from 10:00am to 12:00pm for families with school-aged children who can participate in hands-on activities that delve into the art, history, and culture of the Cape Ann.

Donkey Derby - Hamilton
This is a sporting event for elite (donkey) athletes and their human companions to help bring awareness to the plight of unwanted horses and donkeys.

Afternoon Chores and More - Milton
