The kids were bummed about Halloween falling on a Monday until they realized that it means a whole week of Halloween celebrations leading up to the 31st. Halloween Week is here, my friends, and it is filled with trick-or-treating opportunities before the big day, spooky-themed art and science activities (pictured), wicked walks, not-so-scary story times, and even an inaugural pumpkin roll.
Our picks for this week aren't all Halloween-related, though. We're excited about art-making for kids of all ages at the library in South Boston, a JCC preschool open house in Hingham, and picture book mania in Porter Square.
Don't forget, you can win fabulous prizes from the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Great Wolf Lodge, and Puerto Vallarta just for helping us pick our Besties. Have a spooktacular week, and check out our Event Calendar for more family-friendly fun in Boston.
Monday 10/24 – For those of us who want to encourage creativity in our children but are driven crazy by the mess, there's sanity-saving Scribble Art at the South Boston Branch of the BPL. We love the local library. (All ages; FREE)
