Artbarn: The Rainbow Fish Musical
Artbarn's Traveling Geese Touring Company dives into the best selling children's book by Marcus Pfister.
All the sea-creatures admire the famous Rainbow Fish, the most beautiful fish in all the ocean. When Rainbow Fish refuses to share her vibrant, shimmering scales, the whole ocean seems to turn against the vain creature. Unhappy that no one adores her anymore, the Rainbow Fish seeks out the wise Octopus, who helps the young fish learn that it's far better to be admired for being kind than for being beautiful. A bubbly, energetic score and script gives stage life to the best selling children's book by Marcus Pfister, translated into English by J. Alison James.
The Traveling Geese Touring Company is an Artbarn Community Theater program that is designed to give actors an introduction to performance and community service. Actors and Staff prepare a show to perform on the road at local nursing homes, libraries and extended day programs. Rehearsal work includes acting, singing, dance and costume and scenic design.
