To honor African Cultural Heritage, come to the studio to learn the symbolic meanings of each color and use strips of colored felt to create your own Kente-inspired pattern on a decorative felt pillow.

Kente cloth is an icon of African cultural heritage around the world, recognized by its bright multicolored patterns, geometric shapes and bold designs. Kente cloth is considered a sacred cloth, originally worn only in times of extreme importance. Today it is still used specially for child naming ceremonies, graduations, weddings, and funerals.
