Who Gets to Make History?
What are monuments for? Whose stories do they hold up for celebration? Whose stories do they erase or keep hidden? In this workshop from Boston-based social justice project for children Wee the People, Wee explore what monuments mean and reimagine how they can celebrate values of community, equity, and justice. Hands-on making for all ages!
This event is free and open to all! Attendees of this workshop will receive access to 2 free tickets to the June 28 performance of the musical 1776.
Who Gets to Make History? is the second event in Declaration Reclamation, a series of workshops offered in connection with the American Repertory Theater's production of the musical 1776. Presented in collaboration with the Network for Arts Administrators of Color (ArtsBoston).
