Open House at Macomber Center
Macomber Center is a self-directed education community for children of all ages who are growing and learning without conventional schooling. Sitting on 114 acres of open fields and woodlands, the Center is holding an open house for potential members to visit with their families to see if it might be a more ideal setting for their learning needs.
Macomer Center is open 5 days a week from 9am to 5pm and follows the academic calendar. Part-time and full-time membership options are available. The Center's members are free to follow their curiosity and pursue their interests within a rich and vibrant age-mixed community, and with the support of knowledgeable, helpful adults. Since it is not a school its members must be registered as homeschoolers with their respective towns.
