Liberty Pole Day
Step back in time to experience the life of a soldier in the American Revolution at a military re-enactment and living history day on the grounds of Alden House Historic Site.
Re-enactors from Colonel Bailey’s 2nd Massachusetts Regiment and the Yarmouth Minutemen will present a day of military drills, tactical demonstrations, living history demonstrations, craft programs, and a reenactment of Duxbury’s 1775 “Council of War” following the Battles of Lexington and Concord.
Admission to the event is free; it is sponsored by a grant from the Massachusetts Society of the Cincinnati.
Designated a National Historic Landmark, Alden House Historic Site chronicles the story of Mayflower Passengers John and Priscilla Mullins Alden and their descendants.
