Learn to play some traditional Brazilian music and dance with a large ox puppet.

A Brazilian dancer and musician will lead a workshop for everyone to learn to dance and play music alongside an ox puppet called Bumba Meu Boi — a tradition from the northern and northeastern parts of Brazil.

Learn how to use matracas for music making. This workshop is part of the preparation for the Festa Junina (Brazilian Harvest Festival), scheduled to take place on June 14 at the Somerville Growing Center.
