Inspired by the upcoming exhibition Hayao Miyazaki, the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures' Virtual Family Day is a fun, interactive, family-friendly program featuring artist-led activities for all ages.

Online art-making workshops for every skill level encourage participants to follow along and learn new skills inspired by the legendary Japanese animator.

Miyazaki is known for iconic films such as My Neighbor Totoro, Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle. Participants can gain a better understanding of Miyazaki’s work, the museum, and new approaches to creativity. There is no cost to participate, but registration is limited. (Registration is not yet open).

ASL interpretation is provided.

10am Pacific, 12pm Central, 1pm Eastern

Set to open in September 2021, the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures will be the largest institution in the United States devoted to the arts, sciences, and artists of moviemaking.
