Wednesday, July 14:  Creating and Sharing Inspirational Art Presented By:  Arts Resources Collaborative for Kids

Time: 11:00 a.m. PT / 2:00 p.m. ET

Description: Send a message through art to your community. Whether it be painted rocks, posters, sidewalk chalk drawings, mosaics or coloring - you can create a message to share with others. Public art reflects a community and its surroundings, working to cultivate a cultural identity by setting a community apart and attracting people to its uniqueness. Artwork helps express a community's values and creates an elevated sense of awareness for residents and visitors. Art represents life in many ways.


Wednesday, July 21: Journaling for Mental Health and Becoming a PenPal Presented by: Sportsmen's Tennis and Enrichment Center

Time: 11:00 a.m. PT / 2:00 p.m. ET

Description: Learn about journaling's role in mental health and create a note of inspiration to send along with a donated journal. Also, learn about becoming a pen pal and decide if you would like to become a pen pal with one of the students at STEC.


Wednesday, July 28: Designing Paper Quilt Blocks for Social Justice Presented By:  Social Justice Sewing Academy

Time: 11:00 a.m. PT / 2:00 p.m. ET

Description: Piecing together youth voices, textile art, and community in a 21st Century Sewing Circle - Our quilt block workshops are designed for individuals to critique their local and larger communities through art. These quilt blocks are then combined into community quilts that go on exhibit in museums and community centers. Participants of this workshop will engage in the pre-fabric design process.


Wednesday, August 4: Creating Children’s Activity Care Bags (for children 3-5) Presented by: Bay Area There With Care

Time: 11:00 a.m. PT / 2:00 p.m. ET

Description: Make a creative, gender-neutral care bag for a young child facing long days at the hospital and/or during treatments and other busy times at home-away-from locations in the Bay Area. There With Care’s mission is to provide a wide range of meaningful and fundamental services to families and children during the critical phase of a medical crisis.
