Forest Lawn salutes the courage and bravery of those who sacrificed so much for our freedoms, holding a virtual Memorial Day Celebration live on the Forest Lawn Facebook page.

Highlights of the event include:

  • Pledge of Allegiance read by Izzy Barakat, United States Army veteran
  • Presidential Proclamation read by Brenda Threatt, Major, California State Guard, 224th BDE/250th NG Support
  • Bagpipe Performance by Harry Farrar, Pipe Major, Scottish Bagpipes & Drums
  • ·Keynote Speech by United States Air Force Lieutenant Colonel Jennifer Burghdorf and her husband, Major Andy Burghdorf
