February LA Times Book Club with Jane Goodall
Legendary naturalist and activist Jane Goodall joins book club readers in a virtual session to share her work and her latest project, “The Book of Hope: A Survival Guide for Trying Times.”
In her new book, Goodall discusses the experiences that shaped her discoveries – from living through World War II, to working in Africa, to traveling the world as an advocate for environmental justice – and her ideas about channeling hope into activism.
Renowned expert on chimpanzees, anthropologist and U.N. messenger of peace, Goodall is in virtual conversation with Times reporter Dorany Pineda.
Goodall currently is the subject of the immersive “Becoming Jane” experience at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County.
This virtual discussion is free and streams on YouTube, Facebook and Twitter. 6pm Pacific, 8pm Central, 9pm Eastern
