The Annual Juneteenth Festival titled "Back to The Future" celebrates 10 years of serving the community. The festival will be taking visitors through the journey of the African American experience by going back and forth between the past and the present.
As Juneteenth NYC originally started on Vermont and Jamaica avenue, this year's parade will travel from the old location directly to the current home on Linden blvd and Vermont Street.
The parade will be guided by a steel pan band, marching band, dancers, elected officials and community members handing out balloon hearts as they walk down the street. Everyone is encouraged to join in at Gershwin Park afterwards for more fun festivities.
