The weather used to be an uncontroversial topic for conversation, but times have changed - and so has the earth's climate.

On this walk, learn how weather systems are created and how the woods contribute to wind and rain stabilization. We'll identify different types of clouds: those that forecast rain and others that forecast fair weather. They’ll distinguish between evergreens, conifers, and deciduous trees along with their adaptations to the Preserve’s diverse habitats. They'll discuss how plant life, water, and the atmosphere link us to ecosystems around the world, from local salt marshes to global rainforests. This walk is designed for all ages – bundle up!
