Meet Snoopy and Celebrate the Peanuts Movie All Over NYC

Good grief! The Peanuts Movie, the first-ever 3D feature film based on Charles M. Schulz's beloved cartoon characters, hits theaters next month and to celebrate, the studio is sponsoring Snoopy-themed kid activities throughout NYC starting this Saturday, October 24. Whether your children are already fans from watching those classic holiday TV specials like It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown and A Charlie Brown Christmas or are just now learning how awesome Charlie, Linus, Lucy and the rest of the gang are, they're sure to have a blast at these FREE Snoopy sightings, cartooning lessons and other Peanuts-centric events in Manhattan and the outer boroughs.

Halloween Fair — Prospect Park
Saturday, October 24
In addition to enjoying seasonal fun like carnival games and sweet treats, kids can meet Snoopy and get a crash course in drawing Charlie Brown's pet pooch with artists from Blue Sky Studio who worked on the soon-to-open Peanuts movie. FREE

ASPCA Adoption Center — Upper East Side
Thursday, October 29
In honor of Adopt-a-Shelter-Dog Month, kids can do the "Happy Dance" with Snoopy, score some awesome "wag swag" and, hopefully, bringing home a new canine friend. FREE

Children's Halloween Parade — Greenwich Village
Saturday, October 31
Don your costume for this G-rated afternoon parade around Washington Square Park. Afterward, enjoy face time with Snoopy, jump around The Peanuts Movie bouncy house and fill up on sweet treats. FREE

NYC's Parks Fall Field Day — Washington Heights
Tuesday, November 3
There's no school on Election Day so bring the kids to Highbridge Park for a high-energy afternoon of athletic activities like javelin noodle throws, bubble soccer, hand-cycling, an obstacle course, and relay, potato-sack and egg-in-spoon races. Snoopy will be on hand to cheer everyone on, lead a special Peanuts Movie-themed game and hand out cool freebies. FREE

Snoopy in Times Square — Midtown West
Tuesday, November 3
Once the Fall Field Day wraps up, follow Snoopy down to Times Square where he'll be handing out more swag and you can pose for a massive Peanuts Gang pic. FREE

SOLD OUT: The Peanuts Movie Advance Screening at the Museum of the Moving Image — Astoria
Wednesday, November 4
Can't wait until November 6 to see the flick? Then buy your tickets ASAP for this advance screening, which includes a post-movie Q&A with some of the Blue Sky Studios artists who worked on the film. Free with admission but advance tickets are a must!
