What We're Reading

Me

I've been fascinated to learn how the brain's executive function challenges many kids in school and at home.

The Big Kid

My daughter loved this so much, we read it aloud to the whole family. Then moved on to the next one.

The LIttle Kid

A wonderful story with great illustrations and an environmental message that's not preachy or scary.

The dates posted for the NYC

Submitted by jacqueline charles on July 9, 2008 - 7:33am.

The dates posted for the NYC Summer Guide : free kids activities for every day is dated July 8th, 2007. My question is does all the activities happen on the same dates as posted even though it says 2007 instead of 2008. I am interested in many of these activities because I would like to take my two old to the out door activities.Where is Robin Museum of Art located? Many of the places for the activities has no directions posted. Would you please e-mail me the directions or a contact numbers, so I can attend the activities. These are the activities I am interesting in attending: July 11th,2008 Free Story Time Yoga at Karma Kids, July12th Elmo's World Wild Wild West, July15th Global Family Day.

Given this post, we thought

Submitted by ParentZing! Editor on September 2, 2008 - 11:27am.

Given this post, we thought you & your readers may be interested in a survey we're doing over at ParentZing!. We'd love to hear from you.
--------------
Are you raising kids in NYC?

We're trying to learn directly from parents about life in NYC. We're interested in the positives (especially those hidden gems) as well as some of the challenges.

Go to www.parentzing.net and click on the survey link.

If you'd like, we'll enter you in our drawing for completing the survey (but you don't have to be if you don't want to; you can remain entirely anonymous if you so choose and do not have to provide us with any contact information).

*Please note that this is NOT some sort of spam or ad; we are truly interested in learning more about NYC with kids in an attempt to provide useful tips to others who live there, are considering a move there, or are planning a visit.

Thank you!

The folks at ParentZing!

ParentZing!...is urban. style. parenting.

Amazing post, what a huge

Submitted by muffin9129 on July 2, 2009 - 11:28am.

Amazing post, what a huge help this is to me and so many other moms out there. I love the cheap options, and the broad range of stuff to do. It is too bad that not everywhere could have one of these, as I live outside the NYC area. Thanks for all the help.
