Mommy Poppins Winter Fun Guide
Brrr. It's cold out there. Time to find indoor entertainment for the kids. "Yes, that's why God created the Cartoon Network," you think. But, before your children turn into little zombies, remember this is NYC. No reason to stay holed up in your apartment, you've got the whole world at your fingertips. Classes, museums, free indoor activities, play spaces.
While we don't claim this is anywhere near an exhausted list, we've gathered together all our indoor activity posts on one page, categorized into types, to help you find lots of cool stuff to do. We've even included some fun crafts and activities for days you want to stay home.
As we write more posts we''ll keep updating this page, so check back whenever you need some winsperation.

We live at Chelsea Market in
We live at Chelsea Market in the winter. My toddler son can run inside for a full city block at least, plus explore all sorts of new sights, sounds, textures and tastes. The merchants are friendly for the most part (as long as you don't let your child tear their store apart) and everyone gets nicer when you actually spend a little money in their place as well. Which reminds me, while your kids are getting their ya-yas out, you can get some shopping done for the week's meals (or pick up prepared foods as well).
