I love three-day weekends, they should all be at least three days in my opinion.  This weeks line-up of news includes a lot of warnings and suggestions from the medical world that all parents should be aware of including a warning about Tylenol for kids.  Also, find out what forecasters are saying about the upcoming NYC winter (dust off your skis), musings on the greatest parenthood taboo of all time (liking one kid more than the other) and the latest Palin buzz (she's doing SNL).

Word from the weathermen is that we are in for a harsh winter.  According to the Daily News, forecasters are predicting one of those old-school freezing winters with lots of snow.

A lot of news from the medical world this week for parents, click to find out more:

The NY Times Motherlode blog and commenters write about the most taboo subject in parenthood - liking one of your kids more than the other.

ZRecs does some solid reporting on skin lesions being suffered by infants wearing Carter's tagless clothing.

The Palin obsession continues.  The blogosphere was abuz with reports of Palin's high school report card which I found on Gawker and which showed her getting a D in Foreign Langauge and an 841 on the SATs.  But, it turns out the report card was a fraud, though did fool many. And Page Six reports that Palin is planning on doing Saturday Night Live on Oct. 25th. I can't wait to see if she she can top Tina's impersonation of herself.
