Make the most of your weekend and explore some new places with this weekend's line-up of FREE events.

Learn to Walk the Dog -
Old-school toys are still the best and what could be better than the yo-yo? Head over to the South Street Seaport this Saturday for the International Yo-Yo Open, presented by YoYoNation.com. You can see the world's best yo-yo players and soak up the entertainment, education, and eye-popping yo-yo ability. Festivities begin at 11AM. FREE.

Music, Carrosel and Games, Oh My! Head over to Bryant Park from 12-1pm to enjoy Boy in the Shade, a smock-rock musical storytelling experience with the oh so sweet motto of 'give love, be yourself, and always keep trying'. Then from 1-1:45pm check out Flaubert Frog at Le Carrosel where you can “Sing-along-with Flaubert”, play “Flaubert Says”, Hop-Potato, Leap-Frog, Freeze-Dance, and listen to stories. FREE.

Celebrate Words at La Casita: A Home for the Heart - check out Lincoln Center Out of Doors for an afternoon of music and poets. Sunday, August 10, 2008 1:00 PM at Lincoln Center's Damrosch Park. FREE, no tickets are required.

- Check out the beautiful Wave Hill Gardens and take part in their event "Up at the Sky, Down to the ground / Arriba en el cielo, abajo en la tierra": Join community artist Sarah McCann to observe and sketch clouds floating over the Hudson and right above your head. Happy Birthday Central Park Zoo - On August 9 and 10, ring in the Zoo's 20th birthday during their biggest summer event, Chill Out! The event boasts a weekend full of icy activities aimed to please zoo-goers of all ages. Cool off with ice carvers, ice chefs, Arctic-themed theater, and popsicles (for humans and animals).
