Commemorate those who have served our country, along with commemorating the end of the Korean conflict and remembering those who served in the “forgotten war.” Guest speaker, Admiral J. Robert Lunney, was decorated for his role in the Chosin campaign and the rescue of thousands of Koreans. Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg will speak on behalf of the city and will present a wreath. The ceremony starts at 10:30 am with a processional led by the New York Scottish Pipes and Drums, the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, and the Veteran Corps of Artillery. There will also be a presentation of memorial wreaths.
