Vecinitos Art, Music & Spanish Workshop

Come to the patio at La Casa Azul Bookstore for a fun and free art, music and Spanish workshop. The entire hour will be bilingual: Children will sing original songs, try a fun game and create an art project inspired by La Gran Manzana. Please preregister in advance at http://www.vecinitos.org (we want to be sure all of our "vecinitos" have enough materials to create beautiful works of art).

“Vecinitos” ("Little Neighbors") is a unique Spanish program that combines original and traditional music, storytelling, games and art to bring children together in a diverse community to have fun while learning the language. La Casa Azul Bookstore is dedicated to providing cultural and educational programs via literature and art in East Harlem. It fosters public awareness and appreciation of the arts by being a focal point where people come to find unique art and books; and participate in culturally-based programs that celebrate Latino traditions and literature. In the event of rain, the workshop will be held inside the bookstore.
