Wild Medicine: Healing Plants Around the World, Featuring the Italian Renaissance Garden, explores the power of plants to cure and rejuvenate.
Activities on May 18 & 19 include:
Exhibition tours in the Conservatory, Saturday and Sunday, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Opening Weekend Lecture and Award Ceremony: Andrew Weil, M.D., Saturday at 1 p.m. Advance tickets recommended.
Home Gardening Demonstrations: Herbal Healing Gardens, 2 p.m.
Music & Dance of the Italian Renaissance, Saturday, 3 p.m. and Sunday, 1 and 3 p.m.
Naturally Curious in the Everett Children’s Adventure Garden offers art and science activities from mixing and mashing plants to creating a pigment to making science notebooks.

Fish for Jimmy is an illustrated children’s book that explores the daily life, the food, and the hardships experienced by Japanese Americans placed in internment camps during World War II.
Program is in conjunction with the exhibition WWII & NYC. Katie will read from her book and share her own family’s experiences during World War II.

Directly engage with nature through outdoor learning adventures:
Nature on the Go! Pond Prowl: 3 p.m.
A hands-on investigation of the Binnen Pools to discover the diverse aquatic life in the park.
Nature’s Helpers: 2 p.m.
Families are encouraged to take a tour of the park and help keep it clean. Gloves, garbage bags, and trash grabbers will be provided.
Discovery Tour: 4 p.m.
Take a Ravine hike to the waterfall trail, and take a close look at waterfowl habitats.
