Now that we're done celebrating our big football win, let's move on to all that is red, pink and puffy-hearted this pre-Valentine's weekend in NJ. Get out there and have some family fun at these great events like the Camp Rock musical (I'm so there!), Morris Museum's Chocolate Festival, Art for Two at the Hunterdon Art Museum and more. Camp Rock – The Musical   (West Windsor)
“It's On!” and I “Can't Back Down” from this 'campy' show at the Kelsey Theatre at Mercer County Community College on Saturday and Sunday at 2pm and 4pm. For those of you parents who have endured enjoyed the movies with your kids, you will have a blast at this live performance which features songs from both movies. $10 per ticket. 2012 Cocoa Open: 1st Annual Winter Miniature Golf Tournament  (Tuckerton)
A perfect event for fans of mini golf, winter and hot chocolate (and prizes, too)! The Cocoa Open at the Tuckerton Seaport will be held on Saturdays and Sundays, February 11th, 12th, 18th & 19th from 11:00am to 4:00pm. Be sure to dress warmly and bring the whole family out for some winter fun. $8 for adults; $6 seniors; $3 ages 6 to 12; age 5 and under free. Spectators are FREE. For more information: 609-296-8868.

Saturday February 11th

Chocolate Festival  (Morris Township)
It's a day of chocolate-y fun for your family at the Morris Museum and a favorite event of Mommy Poppins' staff, too. From 11am – 4pm a slew of chocolate inspired events will be offered throughout the museum such as: transforming a lollipop into a superhero, chocolate games, chocolate and cupcake creature crafts, and most importantly, chocolate tasting. While you are at the museum remember to check out the fantastic 'The Art of the Brick' exhibit before it ends on February 20th! Free with museum admission of $7/child, $10/adult. Art for Two – Bring Your Favorite Adult 
(Clinton)
This class at the Hunterdon Art Museum is a wonderful and creative way to spend the morning with your 2 ½ to 4 year old. Bond with your child and get in touch with your artsy side at this Drawing workshop on from 11:30am – 12:30pm. Additional Art for Two classes available in February and March, as well as Saturday art classes for older children.  See website for additional information.  Pre-registration is required so make sure to call the museum at 908-735-8415 to reserve your space. $20 per session.  

Saturday Storytime and Craft  (Montclair)
Wooohooo, this fantastic event has returned to one of my favorite independent bookstores! Everyone will enjoy the entertaining stories and crafts with the staff at Watchung Booksellers at this free event at 10:30am every Saturday in February. This week's book selections include: Rah, Rah Radishes by April Pulley Sayre and Stretch by Doreen Cronin.For more information: 973-744-7177.

Animal Sweethearts  (Tenafly)
Love is in the air, even in the animal kingdom. No worries, this is a G-rated family-friendly program at the Tenafly Nature Center from 12:30 – 2:00pm.  Parents and kids will have the opportunity to meet some of the center's live animal pairs and learn all about attraction and pair bonding in nature. This event will also include a story, craft and game.  Members $5/Non-members $7 per person. For more information: 201-568-6093.

Second Saturday Performance Series at the New Jersey State Museum – Tahira Freedom Stories  (Trenton)
This free monthly performance series at the New Jersey State Museum kicks off on Saturday with shows at 12:30pm and 2:00pm. Gifted storyteller Tahira shares tales of freedom fighters in this dramatic performance. She offers a compelling look at the women and men, such as Virginia slave Henry “Box” Brown, who risked personal freedom to bring about social justice for African Americans. Before or after the show you can enjoy the museum's extensive fine art and archaeology collection, or visit the planetarium as well. Performance series is best for kids six and up. Sunday February 12th  

Valentine's Day for the Whole Family (Dover)
Celebrate Valentine's Day with your family at the Community Children's Museum from 1:00 – 3:00pm. You'll all have fun exploring this great museum, making some Valentine's crafts and enjoying a holiday snack. $7 kids / $5 adults. For more information: 973-366-9060.

Valentine's Story and Craft  (Cranford)
Get into the Valentine's Day mood at the historic Crane-Phillips House museum for their Valentine's Story and Craft. You can then tour the museum which provides a rare glimpse of what life was like for a modest family in the Victorian Era of opulence. 2:00 – 4:00pm. Free. For more information: (908) 276-0082.

Chinese New Year of Dragon Celebration (Hackensack)
If your family hasn't had a chance to celebrate Chinese New Year yet, make sure to attend this FREE event which is open to the public at Hackensack Middle school. The Chinese Service Center celebration will include stage performances by their Chinese School students and teachers as well as exhibitions of student works and the sale of delicious Chinese food. The festive Lion Dance performance will kick-off this event at 1:30pm. For more information: 201-448-7687.
