Fedoras, vaudeville, and washboards: The Wiyos transport us back to the 1920s and ’30s by inviting kids and adults alike to holler, stomp and sing along to old-time American folk music. This Brooklyn-based trio captures the vintage spirit of the era by drawing on blues, ragtime, spirituals, and Appalachian jug-band music. Featuring an array of colorful instruments—harmonica, washboard, kazoo, banjo, guitar—these theatrical musicians fill the stage with rich textures and sounds. Bring your little ones to this free, interactive concert that’s designed for children ages three to six, and fun for the whole family!
