Journey into the kishkes of the old Jewish Lower Eat Side on this tasty expedition. Visit Streit's Matzoh, with fresh matzoh right off the conveyor belt; The Pickle Guys, where you'll taste freshly ground horseradish for Passover; the former site of Shapiro's Wine, to raise a glass in tribute to this quintessential purveyor of kosher holiday wines, and other stores, streets and tenements in which immigrants shopped, schlepped and gathered. This unique and tasty tour sheds light on the holiday customs, foods and history of East European Jewish immigrants of a century ago.
