Saturday: Sand Sculptures (Fine Arts Studio) Make sand sculptures like artist, Anish Kapoor’s "White Sand, Red Millet, Many Flowers” using cardboard, clay, glue, and sand.
Sunday: Everyday Objects: A Series (Fine Arts Studio) This series of workshops will illuminate the many ways of using found objects in art. We will transform a dollar store object into a priceless sculpture.
Saturday & Sunday: Stop Motion Commotion (Media Lab) Working closely with CMA Media Lab teaching artists, visitors will animate their own short films. The process of stop-motion animation will be introduced and various techniques including claymation, cut-paper, and pixilation will be explored.
