Kids ages 6 to 12 are invited to join the Whitney Museum of American Art and Friends of the High Line for a drop-in drawing workshop exploring the artistic process of painter Charles Burchfield, whose work is on view at the Whitney through October 17. Families will work with a museum educator to learn about Burchfield, who worked outdoors creating vivid watercolors, and to create drawings of New York City based on observations from the unique vantage point of the High Line. Tours are free; no registration is necessary. First come, first served.
