Chinese New Year's Celebration

Greet the Year of the Dragon with a traditional Chinese lion dance and kung fu demonstration. The lion dance is held on East 65th Street outside of China Institute between 11 AM–12 PM for FREE.

Calligraphy and Couplet Making Workshop (For children ages 5–10) Join us to learn more about the history of the Chinese New Year couplets, and have fun practicing and making your own! Session 1 ~ 12:15–1:15 PM Session 2 ~ 1:45–2:45 PM

Dumpling Making Workshop Come experience this time-honored tradition for Chinese New Year, wrap your own dumplings and then eat the results! Session 1 ~ 12:15–1:15 PM Session 2 ~ 1:45–2:45 PM

 

Lion Dance and Kung Fu demo are outside and free. Workshops are $50 for each child/adult couple.
