Brooklyn Kids Guide
With the combination of its bucolic, tree-lined streets and kid amenities that seriously threaten Manhattan's claim to having the best of everything, Brooklyn is, perhaps, the most family friendly borough in New York City. DUMBO, Brooklyn Heights, Ft Greene, Park Slope and Williamsburg are just a few of the hot family neighborhoods. If you're exploring Brooklyn, you don't want to miss the Brooklyn Children's Museum, the Brooklyn Museum and the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens and the Brooklyn Culture Trolley can help you get there. Explore all that Brooklyn has to offer here, for inspiration to get more out of the real thing.

Submitted by Katia on October 21, 2009 - 8:38pm.EVENT LISTING
Each It’s My Park Day, thousands of New Yorkers come together to volunteer and celebrate their neighborhood parks at parks and public spaces throughout the five boroughs! You can help! On It’s My Park Day, Partnerships for Parks invites you and your family to help care for and celebrate our parks! Registration is not required--all you need to do is find a local park that’s hosting an It’s My Park Day activity and show up at the park that day. It’s that simple.
IMPORTANT: Due the growing popularity of It’s My Park Day and limited project supplies, all corporate, school, and nonprofit groups must contact Partnerships for Parks to inquire about available volunteer projects.
Get involved, find out how here.
