Gedney Park
161 Millwood Road
Indulge your family’s love of nature with a visit to the 126-acre Gedney Park, where local ecology trails are marked, explaining which animals and plants are native to the area. And if burning off some energy is your main goal, there’s enough playground, fishing, basketball courts, baseball fields, picnic areas and lots of wide-open space to keep everyone happy. What doesn’t this park offer?

Whippoorwill Park

This massive 167-acre park contains a pond, a stream, wildlife, hiking trails, baseball, football, and softball fields. The area also allows tent camping with permission from the town. A local Boy Scout troop created a nature trail a few years ago and along the trail are signs and markers describing the different plants and animals you can find.
