For intriguing family theater, check out FringeJR, an offshoot of the annual New York International Fringe Festival, with six productions targeting kids. With titles including Rapunzel in the Wild West, it’s clear these aren’t well-worn tales. There’s a percussion show titled, Ideas, Not Theories; Pedro Pan tells the true story of a 1960s Cuban boy who leaves his country for the US; and a puppet show about a girl in search of the missing sun.
